How long do antimicrobial coatings last?

Antimicrobial coatings form a very strong bond to the surfaces to which they are applied. Normal cleaning & disinfection chemicals will not effect the bond or remove the antimicrobial coating. Abrasion is the only factor that may wear down the antimicrobial layer.

With no wear, the coating will remain on the surface, working, for a very long period of time.

Standard practice is to reapply every 90 days (quarterly) but in some very high traffic applications, such as public transportation systems, the application is done monthly.
